In 2006 Parallax received unanimous approval from the City of Los Angeles for the new Sierra Canyon School master plan. When complete, this project will be the first private school built in the San Fernando Valley in over forty years. The innovative campus plan includes a main Classroom Building, a Performing Arts Center, an Athletics / Assembly Building, and an Aquatics Center. By locating buildings at the perimeter of the site and placing all parking below a raised outdoor plaza, the master plan reinforces the street edge, shields the campus from traffic noise and creates an internal all-pedestrian landscaped commons.
